i've actually developed my own 4 day/week program, but it's a two day split not full body work outs. i really like the result i've gotten from it and am always looking to fine tune.

Is this a good routine if you are a beginner and try to build muscle (I do not need to lose weight since I am pretty fit from playing soccer)?
Your shin splints will very likely be from pronation of the foot.
I’d look at doing seated calf raises & also strengthening the arches of your feet.

Hello Merijn! The problem you're having is called “shin splints”. I had the same problem when I started running more frequently, the only thing that helps me is foam rolling before every running session and rotating my ankle in all directions while sitting down with an extended leg. Trying to write an imaginary alphabet in the air with your toe so that you really warm up the tibialis anterior muscle also helps. Hope you get well 🙂

Just an advice. In reference of your calf. I struggle to get bigger calf even doing proper form. But the best workout that gave me that calf growth was running : hills, sprint, jogging etc.
Man I definitely feel you on the festival stuff. I used to go to so many all the time but as I got older I just lost interest in them all together. I still listen to the music tho but that's about it

I have a question though its been years that im following your programs the 6 years old, and the 1 year old . i have an elbow pain for over a year and it got worse this month when i started pulling up more weight . Is there any reason for this can it be caused of a wrong technic of shoulders when pulling up .
I have also a remark that your previous programs are messing the Forearm muscle training. which I also think it can be related to my elbow pain since i have a weak hand grip in front of heavy weight.

Love that you shared the program for free. I'm a huge fan of full body high frequency splits myself and I'll definitely give one of them a go tonight. Thank you very much for all the educational and inspiring content and keep up the good work!
In regards to your shin pain, you probably just overworked the muscles. Take a week or two off from sprints and you should be good to go. Also, make sure you aren't heel striking when you sprint, as this puts unnecessary stress of the heel of your foot, which then can transfer stress into the shins.
